Biography

Gareth Hacking is an artist, freelance photographer living and working in the city of Manchester.

As an artist, he has regularly exhibited in art galleries around Wales and the North West and has organised and run workshops for Big Arts Week and the Merseyside Maritime Museum since graduating from Staffordshire University in 2003.

Past projects include The Colour of Light, a vibrant collection of abstract photography created over a 2 year period. Prints of selected images are available to buy online from Stroon and a portfolio collection is now available from Lulu.

As a photographer, Gareth’s assignments include work for CSV, Arts About Manchester, Manchester Metropolitan University and Guestlist. His regularly updated Flickr account contains over a 1,000 photographs covering a variety of events and subjects.
