I have two main memories of last year's Labour Party Conference. Firstly the traffic tailbacks were horrendous - back-to-back buses streching for about 2/3 miles out of the city centre on the first day. As I was working at the time in an office block right next to Midland hotel, which was the main conference location, I had some very long walks to get to and from work.
The other was the protestors on St Peter's Square - the Falun Gong devotees handing out graphically illustrated leaflets and a combination march of anti-war and Father-4-Justice protestors, which seemed an odd combination.
