Cake for Dan Young

I've been doing a fair amount of drawing and painting of late, with this particularly crumbly piece a contribution to Dan Young's 1000 paintings project. Dan, who paints a picture a day and contributed to 365 Days of Cardboard Kid, will on August 19th reach 1000 daily paintings on his blog and he's trying to get 1000 people to contribute a celebratory piece of cake to this flickr group. Thom Stone sketch @ Hi, How Are You?

I drew this at last night's Hi, How Are You? during Thom Stone's set. I didn't get much of a change to sketch the other band's but I'm still really pleased with how this one turned out.

Sketching at Chorlton Folk Club

Thursday night I was at Chorlton Folk Club for Dylan night #3, part of the Chorlton Arts Festival. I'm trying to get back in the habit of sketching and produced the following during the second half of the evening.
