Crossing Piccadilly Gardens on a recent Saturday afternoon, I came across a group of traditional Morris Dancers performing next to the statue of Queen Victoria.Then these guys stepped forward and started performing a sword dance. I overheard one of the gathered crowd mention that they were from Portugal and this was their first visit to Manchester. No idea what was going on but this is what I love about Manchester - the unexpected sights you can come across while walking around the city.
