Portmeirion Money Stumps

I found these in the grounds of Portmeirion. There's two along the coastal path just a short distance from each other though there might be more located in the woods. All the coins looked to be 1 or 2 pences and I found a rock nearby which appeared to be the weapon of choice for hammering them in.

Hulme Tyre Tree

Found along the path that runs parallel to the A5103. Does anyone know why they've all been placed here? Did they all appear one day or has it built up over time? If anyone has any photographs or information on similar things, I'd be interested in finding out.

Sticker Collecting - Oz Style

I found all of these outside the Art Gallery of South Australia (their current Patricia Piccinini exhibition is one of the best I've seen - thought-provoking, dream-like and mildly-creepy), reminding me of this post about the stickers outside the Kiek in de Kok in Tallinn.

Bamboo Writing

Found near the Orangutan area within the zoo. The bamboo stalks are an easy surface for visitors to leave their mark.

Guildford Hotel Sock Protest

On a tour around the Swan Valley we travelled past the Guildford Hotel a couple of times. As you can see below, it isn't in the best of states. The hotel burned 3 years ago and it's owners have been dragging their heels in repairing the damage, which could lead to the destruction of this listed building. The local community are protesting this state of affairs, which you can find out all about here. And all socks? Because it's a clear sign that something stinks of course.

Sticker Collecting

Found outside the Kiek in de Kok, Tallinn. All the stickers are from the museum, used instead of tickets as proof of payment for entry.
