A few of the crests visible along the exterior of the Radisson Edwardian Hotel on Peter Street. The bees of course are a symbol of Manchester (and have already been added to The Manchester Bees), but I don't know the origin of the other two. Does anyone have any ideas or can suggest an online resource?

I think the castle on the back of the elephant is on Bolton's coat of arms. Could it be a local connection like that? Tom
I think so - I'd need to do some research on local coats of arms to be sure. By the way, nice blog you've got there Tom.
Thanks for the compliment. I've been enjoying yours as well. Tom
This was very informative. We have been reading your blog a lot over the past few days and it has earned a place in my bookmarks.
