I've spent a couple of night's exploring round Spinningfields and it keeps reminding me of something my sister told me once. Apparently, if you were to visit one of the business districts in London on the weekend, you'd find everything shut because no-one visited the area except during office hours. Spinningfields isn't quite that bad, but it's close. There doesn't seem to be any pubs or bars in the area, just chain-restaurants (you can see most of them listed in the photograph below), which are already to be found in other area's of the city. It isn't a through-way from one part of the city to another and there are no attractions to make people visit the area. It's a bit of a ghost-town really.
Does anyone know if there's a grand-scheme in place to change it all around?
